How DrainDesk handles account, call, job, website, and support information.

Last updated: 14 May 2026

This notice is written for transparency, not as a substitute for legal advice. If you use DrainDesk with your own customers, you should make sure your own privacy notice covers your use of AI call handling, transcripts, job scheduling, and notifications.
1

Who this notice is for

DrainDesk provides an AI phone answering and scheduling service for plumbers. This US notice applies to plumbers using the service, people who contact those plumbers by phone or message, and visitors to this website.

For customer and job information, DrainDesk usually handles data on behalf of the plumber who received the call or message. For our own website, account, billing, support, and product operations, DrainDesk decides how that information is used.

2

Information we collect

We may collect plumber account details, business name, phone number, email address, service area, working hours, booking rules, job types, notification settings, and support messages.

When a customer contacts a plumber through the service, we may process caller ID, name, contact details, street address or ZIP code, job description, urgency, preferred appointment times, call recordings where enabled, transcripts, AI-generated summaries, scheduling decisions, and notification delivery records.

On this marketing site we collect only limited technical information needed to deliver the site and remember preferences such as market and theme. We do not currently use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or behavioral analytics cookies on this marketing site.

3

How we use information

We use information to answer calls, understand the job request, flag urgent issues, check availability, create or update jobs, send summaries and alerts, support the plumber's account, secure the service, troubleshoot issues, and improve reliability.

We do not sell customer call or job data. If we add advertising or cross-context behavioral tracking later, this notice and the cookie notice should be updated before it goes live.

4

Who we share information with

We use trusted service providers for hosting, database storage, voice and messaging infrastructure, AI processing, push notifications, error monitoring, payments, and support tooling. They may only process information for service, security, support, and business operations.

We may also share information if required by law, to protect the service, or as part of a business transfer.

5

Retention and security

We keep personal data only for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, and support plumber account history. Account owners can request deletion of account and customer data, subject to legal or operational retention needs.

We use access controls, authentication, logging, and provider security controls to protect information. No online service can guarantee perfect security, so we also limit access to data based on operational need.

6

US privacy choices

You can contact [email protected] to request access, correction, deletion, or to ask questions about how your information is handled. If you are a customer of a plumber, we may need to involve that plumber because they own the customer relationship.

Some US state privacy laws, including California privacy laws, apply only to businesses that meet specific thresholds. If those laws apply to your information, you may have additional rights such as the right to know, delete, correct, opt out of certain sharing, and not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights.
